What baby product didn't live up to the hype?

For me it was my BabyTrend infant car seat. The darn carrying arm is way too hard to put down, and Consumer Reports said it was easy to use.

  • So far, the damn sleep positioner hasn't done anything for us. It was bad enough that the pediatrician freaked when we said we had used it once or twice. "SIDS SIDS SIIIIIIIDS!" Plus Joss never stays where she should on it, I had to wake up a million times and reposition her. Now she just sleeps in her crib with nothing else. Too much of a hassle and not worth risking SIDS.

  • Boppy pillow. An extra bed pillow worked just as well, even better, for me.

  • TiccledBlue, I agree as well. I don't even use my boppy anymore. In fact my husband uses it as a neck pillow now.

  • maybe the wipes warmer. We used it for a month or two tops. It's too much of a hassle to keep clean!

  • The Fisher Price Rainforest play mat. Maddox hated laying on it.

  • The Hyland's Teething Tablets have yet to impress me. They worked really well for my niece but all my son does it make a face and spit it out. Even when he keeps it in they don't do anything for him.
