Adrenal suppression

My son has a childhood cancer called neuroblastoma, in one of his suregrys recently to remove some tumor they removed the adrenal glands both of them, now my son is Cortizol ( steroid) dependent. This scares me to death, everytime he gets sick or hurt for the rest of his life he will have to get a shot of stress cortizole and he will take it three times a day for the rest of his life. I am wondering if anyone else is dealing with this with their chidren or knows anything about it. I want to learn all I can.

Thanks Laura
