How to spell it?

My new baby girls name is Melissa but I want to call her Milly. what way should I spell it?

  • I think it looks better "Millie"
    When it's "Milley" some ppl may thinki t's pronounced like Miley Cyrus.

  • My daughter is Madeline & we call her Maddy. I prefer the "y" spelling of things because it just looks more normal. Milly looks more correct to me. For some reason it 's just bothersome to me when people put an "i" or "ie" where a "y" should be.

  • i would just call her melissa, that is what you named her. Milly and Melissa are two totally different names.

  • I didnt name her her daddy did. And I have younger kids that cant say melissa so I was looking for a name that they could say until they got older. But thanks.

  • I thought the nick name of Melissa was Missy/Missi/Missie? When I hear Millie I think of Millicent.
