Ok so im 28 weeks pregnant; I live in PA; and i just cant work things out with my boyfriend anymore; He didnt want the baby from the gate, but through time gained acceptance and was excited; come to find out tonight, he still doesnt want the baby. He disrespects me constantly; has put his hands on me while i was 4 months pregnant; doesnt go to any appointments or classes; throws in my face that i have no where to go; {my family wont take me in}; its just a whole big situation. I have tried NUMEROUS times to work this out cause we are having a child together and i wanted to try to make things work; its impossible; You cant change someone and im not gonna try; but it kinda sucks that its comming all out again when im 28 weeks pregnant.... i need help...

  • Go to a shelter. If you can wait go to social services first thing and ask them for emergency housing. Its a once in a lifetime thing. They give you money to pay first months rent and deposit on a place, and up to 10 days in a hotel while you look. You can also apply for food stamps, tanf etc while you are there if you dont work. They will help you get on your feet. Call a domestic violence shelter either way. They offer free counseling, legal help, and what not and often have ppl donate to help women get on their feet (housing things like kitchen stuff, sofas etc)

  • Can you try working something out with your family? Do you have any friends that is able to take you in just until the baby is born? I don't think it is a healthy relationship and you should try to get help. Try contacting a shelter for battered women. Call your local social service office see if they can provide emergency assistances for you. They won't be able to provide you with housing ASAP, but they can put you on a waiting list. Some states don't have a long waiting list for housing. Are you working and if so, try applying for low income housing.

  • Local churches might also be able to help you get hooked up with the appropriate agencies. They'll know what is available in your community.
