50% effaced????

So how long after doc told you that you were 50% effaced did you go into labor...I realize everyone is different but im just curious???

  • I never had any cervix checks with my pregnancies because there is no useful info from it.
    But it can be 2 hours or 2 months-- anything in-between.

  • I think I walked around at 50% and 1cm for 2 weeks... but my son was born at 37 weeks, so I guess I went "early" as opposed to the 40weeks but I dont think the two are linked...

  • i was 50% effaced at 31 weeks and didn't have my son until 42 weeks

  • yeah everyone is totally different... I just want to go soon im looking for encouragement :) of course not too soon i just mean not after week 40. just wondering how everyone elses pregnancies went

  • I was 50% at 37 weeks and gave birth at 40+6. How far along are you? Why don't you want to go past 40 weeks?

  • I was 2cm 50% at 30 weeks. I had to be induced.

  • I've been 75% effaced and dilated to a 2 since 36 weeks...I'm 38 weeks now. I'll find out Thursday if anything has changed. You never know when it'll happen!

  • i dont want to go past forty cause she is already 7 lbs at 36 weeks. And im just sick of being pregnant. doc says she is ready!

  • There is no guarantee that she is already ready and that she is 7 pounds. u/s weights are usually off. You should read this article.
