What can I put on it?

My 5 month old has what looks like a little crack in the corner of his lips which might possibly be getting worse because of his excessive drooling. I've been trying to keep it as dry as possible so it will heal, but I was wondering if there is anything you might suggest for the pain. I don't know for sure that it hurts him, but it looks a little painful.

  • Vaseline is the most natural since it's close to his mouth and works well with severe dried lips.

  • YOu can also just use regular ole chap stick. It doesn't taste as bad as vaseline. And they won't mind it so bad. I don't think there is anything for pain, but just keep putting chap stick on and maybe lotion/vaseline at night when she won't be licking lips or tasting it. It should heal up soon.
