  • A trickle means that the baby's head is covering your cervix and only a little bit of your amniotic fluid can come out at a time when your baby's head gets moved a bit out of the way by your movement.
I don't know how long it lasts, it depends on how much fluid you have. Really, it does not matter. Once your fluid breaks, you have to get right to the hospital to prevent infection. Also, they do a test to see if it is indeed amniotic fluid before admitting you.
    Best wishes!

  • Yes babies head is low if its just trickling. As you move around you might feel more come out. This is a good thing. You should start contracting soon.

  • OR~ mom can have a "high leak" and the trickle comes from this. With a low leak corked by baby's head, mom will gush in spurts.
OR~ it can be through one layer of membrane only.

It will possibly continue to leak like this until delivery, hours-months. It may reseal, too, if early on enough.

Take a lot of Vitamin-C and NOTHING in the vagina until you push your baby out (IF you're ruptured).

    Good luck!
