Has anyone went for there normal checkup and as you where hearing your baby's heart beat it had a flaping noise?

  • Are you listening with a Doppler? Is it wooshy like the placenta? (Fetoscopes are different.)
    It is likely to be baby's movements.

  • I am not sure whats it called (its at the doc. offiice) and no its not the baby movements I asked him what that noise was and he said "thats a good sound" its on the baby's heart and didn't explain it to me

    So you recognized the di-DUM-di-DUM that is obviously baby. But there is something that is not in that rhythm?

  • yea the hand held. I am guessing it was something around the heart flaping

  • If the doctor didn't say anything about it it was probably normal. You should ask him next time you go in though, if it's bothering you!
