What diet supplements work?

I'm 20 weeks pregnant now, but after I deliver I would like to take a supplement to start my weight loss. I do plan to work out and eat better, but need help. I don't plan to breast feed, because I'm a surrogate so the baby isn't mine. I read about DecaSlim, Anoretix, Lipozene and Apidextra. Has anyone tried either of these? They're expensive so i'd like to get real peoples opinions before spending the money. Again I wouldn't use them or even buy them untill after I deliver.

  • Why not express/pump your Breast Milk for a milk bank for babies that need it?? That's one of the best weight loss plans.
Other then that plain old diet (portion control) and exercise is BEST!!

  • Supplement your diet with plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables, cut out the processed food and add PLENTY of activity to your daily routine. That is the only safe, effective way to achieve long-term results. Every supplement that claims weight-loss success could have some serious side effects long-term that just aren't worth it!

  • Thank you, but I really want advice about what supplement, not anything else. I lost 50 lbs on Xenadrin with ephedra, while eating healthy and exercising and kept it off for 5 years till I was pregnant with my daughter. I only had to take it for 7 months, too. But now the ephedra is illegal and linked to tons of problems. So I'm looking for something else. I need something to suppress my appetite and give me more energy.

  • I took a prescription diet pill from a dr. Gives you energy and suppresses your appetite! I ate less and walked 40 minutes a day and lost weight very easily, amd kept it off!

  • i'm hoping my ob or gp will prescribe me something. My gp sent me to specialist before I started the surrogacy to check my thyroid, but it was normal and then we hat the transfer so I never got to ask for anything. I just don't think they'll prescribe anything. I'm just about the 100 lbs over, but thats with a baby in my belly, lol.

  • I went to a dr that specifically treated weight loss. I only needed to lose 40 lbs and he gave it to me!

  • I was told to take Omega fish oil supplements. I guess it really helps the brain to develop. Congrats on your pregnancy!
