Anyone ever work at a high end cosmetics counter?

Did you have to have a cosmetology degree? Did you make comission?

  • My friend works at "Clinique"..is that high end?? If so, no she had to take some classes that they provided, but she didn' t make good money, and no commision (i think)

  • I used to work at Lancome in Macy's and no I didn't have my cosmetology license. I did work off commission. All the really pretty 30ish women made good money. I was in highschool and guess didn't have "the look" cause I tried so hard and didn't make enough for gas to drive to the mall.

  • My friend worked for MAC and she did not have to have one either

  • I worked at Glamour shots doing hair and make up. I only did about 500 out of the 1500 hours needed of cosmetology school
