Were you induced or did you go into labor naturally?

Or maybe it was a scheduled csection? How did your labor start?

I was induced with both of my boys.

Just curious. I heard someone earlier say induction was abuse. So I'm curious to know how many people chose to be induced!

  • Induced both times. Didn't have a choice with my son, I was deathly ill. I needed to be induced with my daughter also.. I looked like I was having twins. She was 10 13 and 23.5 inches long

I am not sure why they would think it was abuse.

  • I had an emergency c-section at 26 weeks. I didn't have any say in the matter. I was very sick and going downhill fast.

  • #1 induced at 40 weeks because I was young and didn't know better
    #2 natural at 41.5 weeks
    # 3 natural turn emergency c-section at 41.5 weeks
#4 planned c-section at 39 weeks, one of the biggest regrets of my life
    #5 natural at 41.5 weeks.

  • Why post anonymous??

It's about being induced. If you have shame don't answer.

  • With my 9 year old, I was in labor for a while and they did break the membranes to speed it up. It worked and it wasn't as bad as (from what I've heard) using drugs to induce. For my 6 year old, I had to have a c-section because he was breech. I'm pregnant with my third, now, and I'm having a VBAC. So I can't be induced or it ups the chance of uterine rupture. I don't think I'd want to be induced anyhow.

  • I had a planned c-section b/c I have Cerebral Palsy and was worried about how my muscles react to stress (they clench up so bad that I can't move), and how it would affect the baby.

  • I went into labor. I went to the hospital and I was in active labor for 23 hours. I ended with a c-section(not what I would have chosen for myself)
