Where do I go to get a ticket to ride a train? prefferably a .com

I have heard people talking about taking train rides to different states to visit people, but I haven't a clue how to go about it or how to find out the different states it goes to, please help me out, I wanna go somewhere and would like to go by train.

  • im not sure about train rides.. you should google it probably.

    when i had to go from MA to TN i took the greyhound bus... very cheap tickets there.. was only 70bucks or so

  • Amtrack.com, yes, but it really kinda depends on where you are and where you're going whether taking a train is practical or not. You know, since they run on tracks and all! I used to take the train from New Orleans to Memphis all the time because it was a straight shot north! Sadly, though, it's not as glamorous as it looks in all the old movies!

  • My husband's parents took Amtrak from San Francisco to Georgia and said it was pretty miserable. They had to sleep sitting up in their seats because sleeper cars are super expensive.
