  • Anything but a hallway and closet is a room.

  • Call grocery stores, software stores, furniture stores and ask them to hold boxes for you. It's cheaper that way and you can pick away at getting boxes when you need them.

  • Usually stores will have an abundence (sp?) of boxes on Tuesday's or Thursday's. Grab them the middle two weeks of the month, because most people move during the first week of the month and all the boxes are gone then.

  • GO to your fast food restaurants. Most of them get two different deliveries throughout the week. They will give you boxes, they may even tell you when their recycling truck comes so you can go when they will have a lot. However, to answer your actual question, gemgem is right. So all bedrooms, bathrooms, dens, family room, living room, basement, dining room, kitchen, office, all of those are "rooms" Don't count in linen closets or pantries and the like or hallways.

  • Check craigslist first. ~~ A lot of people buy boxes and then don't know what to do with them after they move. They are usually free, or at least really cheap!
