  • How old is your baby? It's normal for a newborn to go without pooping for up to two weeks. You can call your pedi to be sure.

  • can, but could also make them sick to their stomach.

shouldnt use any juice other than specific baby juice until the age of 1.

-a warm bath helps babies with constipations too.
-specific baby tea (OF COURSE without caffeine, thats why its called baby tea)
-feed some fruits (apples, grapes, ect.).. if they cant chew it, then put it in the blender

^^ those are the things that helped our DD

  • Grape juice actually doesn't do's (and grapes) are kind of "neutral" in the poop department. They neither act as a laxative nor help with bulking up (like bananas)

Depending on the age of your baby (so much easier to help out if all the important information is given) prune or apple. If the baby is too young, you need to check with the doctor before giving any juice....However, if you're already giving juice, go ahead.

As for it needing to be"baby" juice, doesn't. Just make sure you're buying 100% juice and mix it with water (about 50/50 blend)

  • i heard pear juice mixed with water or 1 tblspoon brown sugar with 2 oz warm water (that one works best for me)

  • baby pear juice works wonders but if your baby doesnt like it try baby apple juice. Like a previous mom mentioned only baby juices should be given and i dont even think they make baby grape juice

  • IT IS NOT NORMAL FOR A NEWBORN TO GO TWO WEEKS WITHOUT POOPING! Two days is pushing it. You need to call the pediatrician if its been that long! You need to call anyways to make sure its okay to give your baby juice. Newborns shouldn't have it. Put some karo syrup in the bottle. Good luck!

  • Um yes it can be if you BF(UP TO, not that it will), maybe I should have said that and no you shouldn't put Karo syrup in the bottle without talking to your pedi first. That's why I said call your pedi.

Pear juice works too if watered down and if your pedi says so, and btw this is not my own info it comes directly from a pedi.
