  • Can you please explain the pain?

  • There might be some discomfort from engorgement-depending how long you've nursed. Ice cold, crushed cabbage leaves inside your bra. Wearing 2 tight fitting sports bras (no binding, as it can damage breast tissue) no warm compresses or pumping. You can hand express a very tiny amount to relieve the pressure, but not a lot or your body will think it needs to keep producing.

  • sometimes you cant, but if you get real swollen and cant stand it take a shower and let the water hit them and express just a bit, till the pressure stops but not too much you want the supply to stop, it took me a few weeks but it was basicaly painless

  • if you're weaning cold turkey, or not gradually, then you will have a problem. try cutting out one or two nursings every week. taking it slow is usually easiest on you and baby. if you have to do it quickly, then there's not much you can do except comfort your sore boobies.

  • Let your child wean itself. No pain.
