  • At our local hospitals, the cart they wheel the baby in on has drawers full of items for the mother to take home, such as mesh panties for postpartum, cold compress pads, breast pads, a large bulb aspirator, baby bankets, socks, beanies, diapers (usually pampers), perineal squirt bottles, regular postpartum pads... they also give you small bottles of formula and a diaper bag- If you tell them you plan to breastfeed then they give you that AND a free manual breastpump which actually worked a lot better than the electric one did!

  • I got to bring home a beanie, bulb syringe, small pack of diapers, and a baby brush/comb set. Alot of hospitals now aren't letting you bring home anything that can be washed (blankets, socks, onesies, etc..)

  • I got a car seat, diapers, the blanket and hat, I think that may have been it for the baby...
