Texas Bound

Valentines Week....I love to travel with hubby when he has business trips and one of these days I will get get to travel with him "without" the LO. I had made arrangements for someone to come here and just be here while we are gone since her mom works weird hours but I can not make myself leave her here LOL
so, with LO in tow we are going to head to TX stop off to see family on the way and on the way back.

Anybody near Carrolton (sp)?

My husband and I used to live in carrollton tx which is in north tx but were here in mckinney now cause that area seemed to be getting ran down. Stop by and visit babes chicken or trail dust while your there! Both are great restaurants. Enjoy your trip! Oh and hving kids with you just makes vaca all the more fun, we take our childrenn everywhere with us :)

reasonably close... i'd love to meet you but don't often have transpo during the day. there is lots of major highway construction going on all over the metroplex right now, and texas is filled with chain restaurants and stores (boo). what are you looking to do?

I wont have a car during the day either, hubby has to use it to go to his training and I dont drive well in unfamiliar places, I am hoping there is something I can do close with LO that the shuttle bus will take us too...lol

i've never been to either but the sandy lake amusement park and the elm fork nature preserve are where i would go. how old is your LO?

well, the amusement park is closed, I will check intot he nature preserve.
She is 3, I know there is a Lego land but seh has been to those so want something different for her and funds are very limited.
