  • Yes, although it was many years ago. My only tip is that it is definitely worth it to get a pass for several days. Trying to do and see everything in one day is a major rush and just isn't any fun. We got a 5 day pass. We spent most of the first day there. The second day, we say things around the area, then came back to Disneyland at night for the light shows and dinner. We went back and forth the whole week, so we got to see everything, but it wasn't too much.

  • We went last summer. Get there early. Take advantages of the passes for rides. AND Enjoy every second of it because it is awesome.

  • I've been 3 times recently- twice with my kids. I'd say try to get there as early as possible. What we would do is grab a fastpass and then do some things that didn't ahve fastpasses, then come back and use our fastpass. Tyr to always have a fastpass for the popular rides. Definitely go to the fireworks one night.. I'd skip the Nemo ride- it's not that great and the lines are always Huge! Are you going to California adventure too?

  • I have only gone to Disneyworld, was there last year actually. Not sure if my tips would apply to Disneyland.

Only thing I can think of that would work for both is to find the character schedule & map out that first of all otherwise you may miss one. At DW the characters were scheduled to be in certain spots for only certain times if you did not make the cut off you had to wait until their next time, like we didnt get to see Snow White bc we didn't plan it right.

  • I have gone about twice a month for the last year (annual pass). There is sooo much to do and see. My tips would be to go online and look at the maps and showtimes, then decide what you REALLY want to do. Do not expect/try to do everything in a day, you will stress yourself out and not enjoy any of it. Get there as early as you can, and try to go during the week, weekends are packed. If you are bringing a stroller, the tram only has room for unfolded ones in the very front and back. But if you can fold it, you can sit anywhere and get in faster. You can bring food, and would advise bringing your kids favorite snacks and water.
The weather can also go from cold in the morning to hot by noon, and pretty chilly at night, so dress in layers. If you plan to be there ALL day, take advantage of lockers for your jackets, and stuff you buy, they can be opened all day and relocked.

  • Oh, And if you get a fastpass and the time says to come back between, for example 11-12, you cannot go and get another fastpass until after that one expires. So choose wisely.
And most of the characters now has designated places to be (they dont walk around the park anymore), and the lines tend to be an hour or so, just to see them and get a picture. So you may not want to promise to see all the charcters, or you may not get on any rides!
Its a great time, take lots of pictures, and just enjoy it.

  • How old are your kid(s)? My DD was 3yo we did DW for 2 days. After she got the hang of lines & waiting on the second day she opted to wait in lines for princesses rather then rides.

I would suggest with that (if you have a younger child) to do one or two of each off the bat, wait in line for a character & wait in line for a ride. You may find your kid has a preference after that. My DD point blank told me that she did not mind waiting 1hour for Repunzel & would breeze past the rides not caring to go on them (except the merry go round).

  • Fast passes are your friend, especially for the more popular rides. They don't cost anything extra. I have no clue why they don't have them for all rides. Also, bring plenty of cash. And wear comfortable shoes.

  • if you have smaller kids which prohibit the entire family from riding together due to safety height requirements, one of you can ride with your older kid, and ask for a rider switch, and they will give you a paper pass that lets the other parent skip the long line for the fast pass line. and the kid who rode the first time can ride again, too.
