I currently have 157 animals, with more on the way. 27 hens, 4 daddy roos, 26 meat roos, 26 rabbits, 24 kits, 7 guineas, 11 guinea keets, 11 ducks, 4 geese, a donkey, 2 bottle baby bucklings and a young doe, 2 elderly house dogs, 1 bouncy puppy, 5 cats, 4 half grown kittens, and (sigh ... #$%#@$%#@) another pregnant cat that some a$$hat dumped who looks like she might be due this afternoon or yesterday. 5 of the rabbits are pregnant. 2 hens are sitting eggs. I will be getting 3 doelings in April, as well as 6 feeder piglets and 3 (two gilts and a boar) to raise for breeding.
You tell me if I'm a hoarder. Btw, we're retired, have a farm, we raise the bunnies for both our food and pet food. We raise the pigs for meat, the chickens for meat and eggs, and the goats are dairy goats. The dogs/cats were all strays or dumped ... including the elderly ones. I was a vet tech and do most of the vet care myself (what's allowed by law).
