I am 22 years old, married with 2 kids but I just never got my license. I have had my learner's since I was 17 but my parents wouldn't let me get my license till after high school. I got pregnant soon after graduating and since I didn't even have a car, I couldn't justify spending the $220 it would cost to get my license. My DH works 16 hour shifts but only works 3 days a week and my mom lives 10 minutes away so it's never an issue of not being able to get somewhere. I live in a apartment complex that is right behind a grocery store. It is about a mile from my door and if I drive there, I never go on an actual road, I drive through the parking lot of the apartment complex and then directly into the store parking lot. Now I have been told you can drive unlicensed in a parking lot, just not on a road, is that true? I almost never do this but sometimes I have to like my DD's doctor will call in a prescription or my baby DD will run out of diapers. Since I have a 3 year old and a baby, it's too far to walk (I only have a single stroller and a mile is too far for the 3 year old to walk, plus it's really cold this time of year)

IDK - I see how it seems harmless enough, but I don't know about the legality of it. Even someone w/ temps has to have a licensed driver w/ them. And are you insured? I guess just be careful & when the weather warms up, maybe invest in a double stroller (even a nice used one from a resale shop), so you can walk there on nice days. :)
