  • My electric bill was doing fine... $150-200 a month for a while. Just got the new bill... $378! I live in Texas. Note that it has gone from 30 to 75 on the same day often... we used both heating and AC last month...

  • Newest bill was $122.  Last bill was $72.  December was our coldest month and I kept the house between 65 and 68.  Outside temps have been about 50-55 during the day and 40-45 at night.

  • I'm in Jersey. My gas bill this month is $484. It's really cold here at times. Especially when the wind is coming off the water. And I like to keep my entire house warm. The kind of warm that when you come inside you know you're inside. And you are warm right away. Electric bill is only $69.

  • I'm in Northern Minnesota and my last utility bill (electric and heat) was $692. It has been like -30F below zero here alot so maybe that isn't normal, but usually it is $400+ in the winter months. Oh, and our house is less than 3 years old. We have off-peak heating and new energy efficient appliances, and we work outside the home so no one is home all day. So, no we do not waste electricity to make our bill so high. It just is what it is; my friends' bill is about the same. I have one friend who has paid almost $600 a month for just propane for heat since November.
