do you think it would be completely weird if i named my own daughter renesmee? um. i'd hate to say this but i'm not joking and if you have to be rude. then be rude.

  • I like the name as well, if you can take the harsh critics for it and you think your daughter could, then go for it. I think their may be some people "bullies" that make fun of her being named after a half human half vampire from a book series.

  • I think because it is such a popular book/series that many kids just above her in age would know about it. I figure they are going to make movies out of all 4 books, and maybe more books to come.

  • As someone well-versed in the rules of grammar and pronunciation, I have to tell you that the word that you've written is properly pronounced "reens-mee" according to the rules of enunciation and this is how people who look at it without knowing your intended pronunciation will pronounce it.

  • Grammar police again: Esme, not Esmee, because that is pronouced Ez-mee, not Ez-may.
