Breastfeeding my 1 yr. old

My son will be 1 tomorrow! He is mostly breastfed, he has been eating hardly any solids lately. I notice by breasts are growing larger and have light streachmarks on them, so they have definantly grown lately! Anyone else experiance this, this late into your breastfeeding journey? And yes, I immagine my breasts ar becoming larger because of his increased appatite, so they are just always FILLING up!

  • My breast are naturally large so its hard for me to tell if they get bigger from time to time except right when my milk comes in. Although sometimes if we hv been out all day and our 21 month old hasnt nursed then my beast will start to hurt cause my milk hant been released yet. Im sure its just bc your milk is constantly reproducing and trying to catch up to baby. By the way great job on nursing so long!

  • I don't believe my breasts got any bigger around the one year mark, but DS was probably on more solids than yours. I definitely still got the full need-to-nurse-now sensation when it had been awhile, though!

  • My daughter self-weaned at 23 months; my breasts did not grow at the one-year mark. Is it possible that you are pregnant?

  • rkoloms, oh no I'm not pregnant...but he gets a lot of milk. he is a BIG guy, so when he hits a growth spurt I make more mlk and he has it all!
