18 mo. Shots?

My dd goes in for her 18 mo. Shots tomorrow, just wondering how many pokes they get?

This isn't for anyone to give me their opinion on vaccinating, I don't care if you don't vaccinate your child. I however do and am just curious to know how many pokes my poor babe should expect :(

  • depends on if the dr combines the shots or not. My dds dr with my first baby would combine them so she had I can't remember 2-3 shots. Then the dr we have now they don't combine the shots so with my middle dd she haad 3-4 shots. I have a 6 month old now she got shots yesterday poor baby had to have 2 shots then they gave her the flu shot since she was old enough. I was going to just wait since flu season is almost over, but the dr said that the flu is going to be later in the season this year because of the winter we have had. So I went with it.

  • also depends if she is behind on shots. I went to go get my kids flu shots in November and I didn't know my oldest was behind so she had an extra shot. Not sure how she got behind because I go to every single appointment and get every single shots my guess is maybe the dr forgot or when we were in the process of switching drs I don't know

  • oh ya sorry lol, but with the one dr we had they would also when doing shots if they had more than one they had a nurse on each leg and stuck them at the same time so they only felt it once, but the dr we go to now doesn't do that they will do 2 shots in one leg and another shot in the other leg. You can maybe see if they can do the shot at once
