What is biting my son??!

He got up from his nap today with "cluster" like bites around his ankles. Any Ideas?? They look like itty bitty misquito bites. What should I do?

  • I would say fleas too. Have you checked the area and/or him and your pets? If not, I guess it could be a mosquito. It's been warm enough here for them, so ya never know. Another thing, I wonder about is dust mites. After I vacuum my carpets, I swear the biting sensations and itching are much worse.

  • I would think fleas as well.. The dog doesn't have to go upstairs for them to travel. They can be on him, you, or anything that goes up stairs.. Bed bugs also bite in clusters, google pics and see if you can find similar bites..

  • I don't believe our dog has fleas. He gets a flee/tick bath once every two weeks and has a medicated color on. The rest of us are fine. It's just him.

  • Fleas would be my first suspicion. The dog doesn't have to go upstairs; they'll hitch a ride on socks, pant legs, etc.

  • Has he been in the grass? could be chiggers, but flea baths don't always work, check the dog.
