  • The doctor told us that orange foods are what you should start with. If I remember correctly, they also told us to start with vegetables before fruit.

  • EDIT:
I didn't write that correctly lol. He didn't start solids until 6 months, I meant that he liked it as his first food. Excuse my prego brain lol

  • Your babys Doctor should offer you a print out, or he will tell you at each appointment what foods to start. Contact the doctor.

  • I just started feeding my daughter who is at the end of her 5 month. I started off with avocadoes pureed with her formula (makes it nice and creamy) and sweet potatoes. I introduced oatmeal cereal a couple of weeks into it.

  • start with pure green veggies like green beans and peas. if he starts light colors or fruit..anything sweet, he wont really want to try anything NOT sweet. so get those out of the way and have fun...i just started my 5 month old on prunes.....what pleasant diapers!

  • Avocado and pureed pears are great starter foods. Just mash up the avacado and puree canned pears packed in water, freeze in an ice cube tray and defrost when you need it.
