MY SON IS (JUST AS OF TONIGHT) HAVING A HARD TIME POOPING HE WILL GRUNT AND GRUNT AND THE ONLY THING THAT COMES OUT IS A GREEN TINTED MUCUS, WITH A SMALL AMOUNT OF BLOOD FROM HIS FISSURE THAT HE HAS, NOW HE IS FIVE MONTHS OLD AND BREASTFED AND HE GETS SOLIDS ONCE A DAY, HE HAD A REGULAR BM EARLIER BUT TONIGHT ITS JUST THE MUCUS STUFF IS THIS NORMAL?

  • Dark green, muddy poop is a sign of not enough hind milk.He probably isn't getting enough so keep him on your breast for at least 15-20 minutes before switching to the next breast. The hind milk is the fattier, fuller milk that is behind the watery milk the comes out first. Nurse him for a long time on one breast to get things moving again.
