I am so sorry i took...

2 online classes. i realize i much prefer lecture. i have 2 of those this semester too but these online are horrific. so much more work and i cannot focus!!!

is there a secret to online? i have the time, i just lack the motivation.

I have gone online for college for years. My motivation comes from wanting my degree so I can provide a better life for my family.

my husband provides. my degree is for personal growth. i am an honors student but didn't realize i lacked motivation for online.

Wow!!! I preferred the online classes to actually having to go sit through a lecture. I liked being able to work at my own pace which was usually quicker than the rest of the class.

I hate lecture classes, it is so boring and like Coala I like to work at a much faster pace. The secret to Online courses is to schedule and to stick to the schedule. To set apart some time for the class just like a lecture would have and to stick to it and "go to class" at that time and get your work done.

Organization and schedule is what it's all about.

meooma, I am taking both a personal development and information literacy course online. maybe it is the subject matter... I don't know. I actually enjoy being on campus and sitting through lecture. times goes faster. plus sitting on the couch with distractions and my pjs on just isn't conducive to schoolwork.

Yes, set aside time each day to work on it. NO distractions. I LOVE online classes, I can work at my own pace. I actually finished one of my online classes a month early!! Seeing you enjoy being on campus, do the online class while at school. Sit in the library or student center. It takes a lot of discipline to take an online class and the majority have MORE work than a traditional class.

I took this course to get my "carnet de manipulador de alimentos" It was easy because it only took me less than a few hours, but I was wondering taking a large course. Thank you for asking and all for the motivation.
