How do you know if your child poop blood?

  • youll notice it. if your really not sure call the doctor. thats something that can be serious, so dont wait on 12 answers from us here and call the dr.

  • Blood inside stool would be brownish and stinky.. I know it's hard to tell if it's stinky when it's in poo, but it'll have that metallic yuck smell that blood has x10. And if it's brown, old blood, it's a deep problem. Even if it's fresh blood, like some of us get from hemorrhoids, a kid shouldn't be getting that anyway. Call the pediatrician.

  • When my daughter poops blood it is always black, not her whole stool, just in pieces of her poop their are big black chunks. It smells HORRIBLE. Hers was always old blood that would "pool" around in her belly when she had her ulcers.... I would call the doctor as soon as possible!! Good Luck
