1 Bump

My computer is garbage so I will be restoring it back to factory settings. Problem is I have A LOT of pictures/memories that I don't want to lose.

I want to be able to save my computers online but I do not want the public to view it. Anyone have any ideas of any websites? All my pictures are on Picasa 3 ..After reading google new policy I do not want my pictures uploaded to any websites that is affiliated with google.

Thanks A Bunch-

  • Look at setting up an account with MiMedia. It is an online data storage thing. You can upload all of your stuff there, and then get it back when you're done.

  • I agree. Go buy an external hard drive that is slightly larger than your computer's hard drive.

This one is good ... 500Gb Toshiba External Hard drive

I have not seen a thumb drive big enough to hold all the pictures on a computer. There may be one, but I haven't seen it.

This is the biggest one I found and it's $130. 64Gb Flash Drive

  • I've always just emailed all my pictures to myself. Its a pain in the butt when I reboot and want to put them all back onto the computer. But its safe, and its free.

  • I have two external hard drives (I like Clickfree). I back up all of our files, and keep one in our safe deposit box at the bank. Since I have a lot of business files on my computer, I do that to make sure everything would be safe if there was a fire or something in my house. All of our personal pictures and videos are on the Clickfree, too. They hold tons of files. Whenever I back up a large amount, I switch out the drives, so there is always a current copy away from my house.

  • Didn't you save your pictures on your hard drive? If so, an external hard drive is your best bet.
