Anything going on in your life that is song worthy?

I'm currently working on two singles: "Time Traveler" and "Business as Usual: Accounts Receivable:

I posted "Time Traveler" in a thread last night. But, posters wanted to hear the music. Composition and production won't be completed until later by an indie label.

I would like to create a compilation album with these two singles. I'm trying to find topics that grab the ears of the public that is family friendly, but has irony.

Question: What issues, events and experiences that are affecting your life that is song worthy?

Thanks

  • Always! My life could be a country song, but then again I'm not that much of a country fan anymore.

My DH is hurting because his children (one teenager and one grown) cannot accept that he has remarried after their mother divorced him. They have chosen to have no communication with him since we married six months ago. But, he loves them regardless and misses them so much.

Meanwhile I'm trying to stay sane in this family circus of 5 boys (SAHM) while DH works long hours.

  • Well, it's been a yr & a half since My girls & I moved out of our home. The first six months were really hard on my oldest. She would tell anyone who would speak to her (random adults & kids) that she no longer lives with daddy because daddy used to yell at mommy. She, unfortunately, witnessed a lot of nasty arguments during the divorce. She's a lot better now, at 5. But, 3 & 4 were rough years for her.

  • I don't mind sharing. She was only 3 so, it was a combo of fear, sadness and maybe a bit of anger.
The worst one she ever saw made her start bawling and then screaming "stop daddy, stop it". And, then she ran upstairs to her room & I found her crying on her bed hysterically. :(

It's better for her now that any arguments my ex & I have are via email or text.
