  • do a home spa day. After the kids are in bed, take a hot bath/shower. give yourself a home mani/pedi, maybe splurge on a bottle of wine or chocolates.

  • Ah - did you have to add zero budget? I was thinking a bottle of wine, a slice of cheesecake and a good movie (not a love story!)

  • LOL, I have the same problem. My girls & I will either bake cookies or brownies and watch a silly movie. Next weekend I'm going to allow my self to drink again since that'll be 6 wks with no booze. I'm seriously looking forward to that.

  • having chocolateI do something for myself almost every day! Most of the time, mine is on the road. Before him, I was divorced for five years and married for sixteen. In that total time frame, one guy gave me a rose. Other than that, I don't really celebrate that day. Now, I'm not saying I wouldn't go for a dinner out... but that night is just so crazy around here... it's not easy getting into any restaurant that night!

If no one is available for a date, buy yourself some chocolates... That's the best!!!!

  • I am going through a divorce and next year I will be on my own for valentines day and here are some ideas I would do--- sleep in late in can, treat myself to a dinner or lunch and if no money I would just cook my favorite dinner or whatever I want for dinner, a glass of wine or just something special, a nice long shower and then lose myself in a good book or movie, I would buy a box of chocoates to go with book or movie. Does not have to be anything special just things your like to do and then do in a special way like even candles for dinner. Our babysitter had a I hate valentines day party and had single friends over for the night to do fun things. If no one else is around I will be the first to wish you a happy valentines day to you and say your special in your own way.
