A lot of people seem to equate "creativity" with "artistic."
I certainly see a lot of creativity in artistic people, but creativity extends into all areas of living, thinking, doing.
The "art spirit" (in the sense that American artist Robert Henri used the term) is not the sole province of art, but is a creative impulse or approach to living/doing that involves thinking freshly in the moment. Being creative in this sense isn't necessarily "doing something new or different," and what you do may look very much the same as other steps in the past, but it was chosen for its necessity or relevance right then. It wasn't "just done." This applies to a particular brush stroke (in a painting) or to a relational response, or to a way of doing something (like shooting a basket.)
