55 cent coupons- an insult to shoppers?! An "Andy Ronney-ism" to coupon users -lol :p
I know every little bit helps when trying to save $. But I can't help it that I get a little irritated w/ 55 cent coupons! They know most stores won't double beyond the 50 cent limit. Wouldn't it be better for customer relations/business to attract more customers with better coupons? Unless it's a product I normally use, I won't cut the coupon or try the product for that matter. These businesses need to quit cheating the consumers & give us a break here. :p (ok- thanks for the forum to vent a little -lol)
*Hey maybe that's a topic the million moms can get involved with & leave poor Ellen out of it! lol :p

Does any one even double coupons any more?? There isn't any place around here that does that unless they are running a promotion where you need a coupon to double another coupon.

To me, (as long as there is no contractual agreement) a coupon is a coupon. If I can't double a 55cent coupon, it's at least worth 55 cents. Not to be snarky, but in our financially beat up world, I'm more accepting.Found an answer to your question?

Crafty: I guess I should consider myself lucky then, b/c both Meijer & Kroger double coupons up to & incl. 50 cent coupons. Every once in a while they will offer to triple them! But that hasn't happened in a while :/

Kroger does every day. KMart does occasionally as a special promotion. As for the .55's. I don't care what the amount is on the coupon, I care about how much is coming off the price of the item. .55 off something that's marked down from 1.50 to 1, you're getting it for .45 instead of 1. I never use a coupon on something that's not on sale, too - THAT is a waste of clipping.Found an answer to your question?

I havn't been to a store that doubles coupons in years!
I rarely ever find one for anything we acutally use/eat. I also hate that it seems you now have to buy 2 or 3 of something to even USE a stupid coupon, and generic is almost always still cheaper anywayFound an answer to your question?

We have two stores that double here. Yes, I do agree they aren't worth the paper to print them on. I will only use something under .50 to double or over $1.00. Couponing policies have changed so much these past couple years.Found an answer to your question?

Also- store ads are sucking lately. I used to price match a lot with them which helped -but the stuff they have on sale is usually not anything we use...or their sale prices are still higher or end up the same as WalMart prices are. LAMEFound an answer to your question?

I live in Kansas City and not one grocery store doubles anything,, I hate it when you have to purchase 2 of something to redeem the coupon..Found an answer to your question?

We have a schnucks affiliated stores here that double 55 cent or less every day. SOMETIMES they even will triple them!Found an answer to your question?
