If you took a gender test?

And you found out you were having the sex you didn't want would you abort? Wasn't there a couple who did this too? They took a gender test and had an abortion because they were having a girl and not a boy?

For my answer:

I would never take a gender prediction test unless i was unsure of the ultra sound and wanted to be sure I got the proper clothes for the baby.

  • Are you talking about the pee on a stick and it tells you the gender of the baby (which doesn't work by the way) or are you talking about something else? I would never abort my child reguardless of what my husband and I hoped for. We actually hoped for a boy with all 3 of our little ladies, but are totally happy with our little girls.

  • couponluv72 : People do abort based on gender, to the point where they considered withholding the results of the anatomy ultra sound until you were passed the point of legal abortion.

I would never abort unless the pregnancy would kill me for whatever reason. But those gender tests are bogus. My cousin got the result opposite of the baby's gender with both pregnancies.

  • couponluv... Check out this link. It does happen even if you do not want to believe it.

I personally would never do that. I have three boys and have always wanted a girl. But if I got pregnant again and found out it was another boy... I would be overjoyed and love him as much as I do his brothers. I don't understand the whole abortion based on gender thing.

  • HELL NO! I actually worked with a person that almost did this. We were both pregnant together and we both had little girls and both wanted boys. I got my boy but when she found out she was having a girl she freaked. went to 3 different doctors hoping they would tell her something different. She wanted to abort but by the time she went to 3 different doctors she was to far along to abort. She even talked abut giving the baby up for adoption. Even asked me to switch her babies. She was a real nut case. Once her husband caught wind of her psycho ideas, I think he put a stop to it. Don't know what ever happen to her though. I stopped working once I had my son and never went back.

  • There is no such thing as a gender test. There is NO way to know the gender of a fetus. There are sex tests. I had ultrasounds with both my sons to find out their sex.
