Last night my husband went to a friends house for dinner. We left our 2 year old daughter with her normal babysitter (14 years old), the babysitters sister (8 years), and another little girl (4 years). When we got home at around 1 am I changed my daughter's pull up and I noticed a small amount of red blood in it. I freaked out and started looking for where the blood had come from. From what I could tell it came from her vagina. It did not look like the blood was in her pee. I wiped her and there was a small amount on the wipe too, but I used a second wipe and there was nothing on that one. I asked her if it hurt because she was fighting me a bit when I was trying to look at it and she said " Yes". I asked her if anyone hurt her and she said "no" I asked if she put anything down there and she said "no". I have not seen anymore blood since then and it has been about 14 hours. This morning she told me it did not hurt down there and she has not told me it hurts when she pees or anything. She has no fever that would suggest infection. I did not see any cuts, and she does not have a diaper rash. Nothing looks swollen or irritated either. She did tell me she fell down the stairs last night, but this morning when I asked her again she said she did not fall down the stairs (Plus she has fallen down the stairs before and she talks about it even though it was months ago..) and the babysitter did not say anything about her falling down the stairs, and she is usually good about stuff like that.
Should I take her to the doctor tomorrow? I think I'm going to anyway but, I want to know if anyone else has heard of this.
