  • I couldn't even begin to list everything lol.

I have the entire Discworld series by Terry Pratchett, several John Sanford books, quite a few of the classics like you have, about a bazillion children's books, my Newsweek.

You really should read Little Women. Also, if you can get Anne of Green Gables you won't be disappointed. I'm not sure if it's on the free list yet?

  • Oh Anne of Green Gables! Great idea thanks! I went there when I was younger, in Canada, don't remember exactly where in Canada though but I do remember going there. However, I have never read the story. In fact all the classics I put on my kindle I have never read. I really honestly don't know why I have never never never read the classics, any of them except for Little House on the Prairie series other then that. Is it normal for people to read the classics when they are younger? LOL I'm really curious!

  • I think it depends. I was a big reader when I was a kid (I only vaguely remember reading Jane Eyre when I was about 7 LOL) and there wasn't anything I didn't read if I could get away with it.

On the flip side, only one of my kids is a big reader. She did go through all the classics but none of the others did. I can remember being so sad that they weren't nearly as excited about reading Little Women as I was :D

Some people are just more into reading than others. My middle daughter says that if a book doesn't grab her attention within the first few pages she's not likely to finish it. That can be a problem because some of the best books don't get good until around the middle.
