Why do I read such horrible stories... I just read the Josh powell thing..

I can't get this sad stuff out of my head when I read it.... The two boys (5 and 7) were killed with a hatchet first before the house blew up... the social worker said she heard the younger brother crying. I keep thinking he seen his dad kill his older brother with a hatchet and then turn on him. What a traumatizing thing even if it is right before you die.. how horrible. A HATCHET! Another story that is haunting me.... a korean couple starved there baby to death because they were playing an online virtual reality game, but from the article I read. It said they would feed her rancid milk and beat her when she cried from hunger pangs.. God.. I wish I hadn't read either of those stories. Now I can't sleep cause I am feel horrible for these children that were abused to death and all the other children out in the world right now that are being beaten, killed or neglected. It hurts so much to think about.

  • Its always happened but with the invention of the internet these stories are coming to light more and more because it hits the news so much faster and hits a much larger audience.
I feel for the Powell boys because their autopsy showed the hatchet did not kill them. They were alive when the fire was set and died of smoke inhalation not the blows by the hatchet. It is sooooooooo sad.

  • I know. People are sick. Like seriously- mentally sick.
As for the Josh Powell thing- We were living in Utah when his wife disappeared and I felt then that he had done it. Just the way he acted about the whole thing...and the fact that he moved like a month or two after she was missing. When I heard what happened last week it truly made me sad. What a horrible thing for a father to do, and I feel for Susans parents and the social worker who took them for the visit.
And then to hear there was a hatchet involved before the explosion, makes you wonder WHAT the heck was wrong with him. Obviously he had some serious issues :(
I also heard about the gamers who starved the baby. Awful.

Sadly the world has horrible and sick people in it and I think when we hear awful stories they tend to stick with us a bit more than the good ones do.
