He got a Valentine's day card in the mail from my parents and my mom put in $5 for him (my dd's got theirs too but i won't open em until they get home from school), so I told him he has his own $$ now so I guess I can take him to the Dollar store (he'd been asking to go since friday, and we have money to go just didn't feel like going and sat night after dinner we wanted to but it was already closed). Anyways, so he says "no FIVE dollars, its 2 dollars mom cause i'm TWO!" and i was like "no look at the number 5 right here on the bill" and he goes "5 dollars? WOOHOO!" lol, it was so cute :D What cute/silly things to your kids say? And do they get excited about having their own money? We don't usually tell them they can't get things or go places cause they don't have their own money but we do try to show them the importance of buying stuff they WANT by saving up for it themselves (not like my dh doesn't spoil them and buy them whatever they want quite often though :P lol)
