Backpacks..

Anyone have any good quality suggestions for backpacks. I but my kids from Walmart or Target. Most of the time don't even make it through the school year.

  • LL Bean has great backpacks, more expensive than the Target/WalMart ones, but one of their backpacks should last several years!

  • Because I had 'points' I got mine from Lands End. They are holding up pretty good, but starting to get ragged on the 'handle'. some ladies buy jantzens and they sound like they hold up GREAT.

  • I got my youngest a Jantzen her freshman year in high school. She still uses it and she graduated from college a year ago. She used it all through. It was the best $70 I spent.

  • Get one with a lifetime warranty. We buy backpacks from a local camping supply store. For my daughter's birthday (August) before she started 9th grade, we bought her the Northface of her dreams, with a 20% off coupon. We sent it in for repairs just before winter break; it took about 5 weeks to get back to us; actually, we brought it in to the store we purchased it at, and they sent it in for us.

  • Oh, she is in 11th grade, and the Northface backpack is ergonomically designed for the shape of a woman's back
