1 Bump

I feel so much better, I just had to share!

My sister and I swore off sodas together last week. I had a couple days of pretty serious headaches, but after that, I have felt wonderful! At first I was just trying to boost my water intake, but I could stand to lose weight, too, so I cut out all calorie drinks.

I was seriously on a sugar yo-yo from that stuff! It made me crave sugar between sodas, and I was drinking 3, sometimes 4 a day! I have lost 4lbs, my sister has lost 5 in one week just from cutting out soda and the natural drop off in our sugar cravings. Plus, I have SO much more energy..my body must have really needed the extra water, I can tell. I can't believe what a difference it made!

I have plenty of weight to go, believe me, so to make this a question, do you have any other diet miracles to share? My sis is my weight loss buddy, and we are willing to give anything (healthy) a shot at this point!

  • yours is the best quickie trick i know of! though for me, limiting my sodium intake makes a huge difference too. and the more fresh (or frozen) fruits and vegetables i eat the better my innards feel.

  • Drinking water is the best thing for you. Add some lemon to add flavor. It will start to help cut out food cravings as well. Hunger and thirst are the same trigger in our brain, so if we are properly hydrated, we won't mistake thirst for hunger.
As a general rule drink 1/2 your body weight in oz of water each day at minimum (so if you weight 150lbs, drink 75+++ oz of water each day)

  • Awesome! Good job! My fav. trick is to not eat past 6 pm. If you do that, combined with the water, you'll be dropping pounds super fast:) It's hard the first couple of nights but after that it gets easy. If you are going out to dinner or having dinner with others, just eat veggies or fruit only, that way your body won't store any of them. (not veggies that are cooked in fat or covered in fat, haha! After all, french fries are technically veggies right?)

  • AWESOME, mama!!!! I'm SOOO happy for you!!!
Are you eating enough fiber? Make sure you're getting your requirements met- it's a great way to stay full longer, and foods that are high in fiber are often relatively healthy.
Stay away from processed foods if you can. They're loaded with sodium and other preservatives that mess with body chemistry, and will work against you in losing weight.
Are you working out? Finding exercise you enjoy is key to sticking with it.
I eat clean, which has helped me lose over 80 lbs so far.
    Good luck!
