Does your baby wear sleepers or clothes when you go in public?

My baby is 5 1/2 months and alot of days I just leave her in her sleeper that she has on. I put her on a new one every morning when she wakes up because she sleeps in a onesie and a swaddle still. But some days I put cute little outfits on her. Just wondering what others do.....

  • I think generaly, up to one year its "ok" ( not sure where i heard this from lol) for babies to wear sleepers/pjamas wherever they go. I wouldnt think it odd to see a baby wearing a sleeper in public. But, i may wonder if they were like 2 or something. I think when mine were that young i put actual clothes on them cause i loved dressing them up and any excuse to do so i took it! lol

  • I dressed my DS everyday. Habit forming for him and me. Now (21 months old) he is totally used to the routine.

  • My babies always got "dressed" in a new outfit every morning but that outfit could be a cute sleeper. When they started getting more mobile, such as crawling and such that is about when I started putting them in pants, shirts, etc every day.

  • both. depended what we were doing, where we were going, who we were seeing. in the winter especially i was more likely to keep them in a warm sleeper to go get groceries.

  • Yes I do take her out in her sleeper .. Especially in winter she puts on a allin one baby coat anyway and wrapedbin a blanket no one will ever see if she's " dressed" anyway and I think it keeps her warmer to have everything all zipped ip in her sleeper plus it's just easier to get her ready to go out especially if she sleeping already

  • Ours wore clothes out. The only time our kids have worn PJs in public are when we have gone late at night to the airport.

  • I changed my babies clothes every morning, but sometimes I changed them into a cute sleeper, especially if we were just hanging out at home. But I had no problem going to the grocery store or pharmacy with them in a sleeper at that age. By 8 months or so I think even babies should be in clothes (except the other day my 18 month old is sick and I put her back into a fleece sleeper for the day because it's warm and cozy, and we did run to the pharmacy for some baby tylenol!) to go most places.
