  • According to Google it was still under consideration in January but I can't find anything that says it has passed.

  • No. It's simply passed committee. It hasn't gone to the floor yet and, if it does, I suspect it'll be tied up in litigation for a good while. Although TX managed to get a positive outcome through the courts so PA will use that as precedent, I'm sure.

  • Yeah, I was just going to say Texas is pulling this shit too. In my opinion, this is dictating to the doctors how to treat their patients and dictating to the patients what medical care they must choose. That is not legal in any way. In addition, HIPAA requires that no one that the patient doesn't specifically provide authorization for gets to see the patient's records, save for the waiver of the doctor being able to share medical information with partners for the purpose of treatment. I can't believe this crap... I hope that there are groups fighting this bullshit. Like the woman doesn't know she's pregnant and that a fetus is developing inside of her. Duh.
