It says he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. There are times in your life that you will have more than you can bear. Other wise... what would you need God for? :)
I know this is going to strike up a debate but it was NOT my intention. I just learned this, this past week and found it comforting as a Christian to finally know that the old saying was incorrect. It reminded me that God is not 'out to get me' when things go down hill. He is waiting for me to run to him. While I intend to look at the responses I do not intend to reply to them. I am not one to debate anything so take these words as you will and feel free to debate them among yourselves. I have nothing to defend. I already believe this with all my heart. Have a blessed day.

I have two comments, of sorts.
First of all, I don't believe anything in the Bible is the word of any god, whether direct or inspired. I think we are all at risk of facing very difficult times. Such is the nature of life.
Secondly, if you don't want to debate this, why did you put it in Religious Debate? Just curious.
