  • !979 Plymouth Duster. I LOVED it!! It had a 340 engine with a four barrel carb, and duel exhaust! EVERYONE wanted to race and would rev at the red lights--I ALWAYS left them in the dust!! That car got me so hooked on street-racing and the cops clocked me doing 140 on the highway racing one of my friends. They set up a roadblock two exits away but I went flying onto the next one and slowed to normal , then drove home. A little while after I got there, my friend Chet called & told me he got busted, and that they'd set up a roadblock, 'cause they'd clocked me doing 140 but didn't get me, and he told them I was a stranger, and he had no idea where I was going. I was pretty careful after that, but still threw a pushrod and killed it on Dixie Hwy. Whew!! Memories of my crazy teen days. I'd stomp my kids' butts if they ever did something like that!
