  • When my kids were little I was, only because I worried about their care. Now that they are grown, I'm not afraid. I have put safety nets in place for my sick daughter and my granddaughter and that's all I can do.

  • Yes, I am afraid it's going to hurt, whether it's sudden and violent (ie, car crash), or a long, drawn out process of disease.

  • Over all no but in certain situations yes. I would hate to drown, or be caught in a fire. In both cases I know what the outcome is as it's happening and there is the fear of suffering. I mean to deal with the fact that you're dying is bad enough but to also have to go out like that is horrible IMO. But, no I'm not generally afraid of dying.

  • I am because of the kids....like you've said. My children would be seperated on top of losing their mother, so it would be worse. My DD would probably get the worse end. My sons would be able to stay together, along with DD I'm carrying right now, but my oldest would be sent to her father's house three states away. She'd be cut off from some of her family that are incredibly important in her life, and like I said before, she'd lose the siblings she has here. Its bad enough to lose a parent, but to lose EVERYTHING you know and love is too much for a young child to take.

  • a little. Only because I do not want to leave my babies behind. Especially if they are still little and still need me. I lost my mother at 14 and it has been tough. There are moments where I wish I just had my mom back and could share experiences with her.

  • Dying? No. Suffering beforehand? Yes. It's not even the suffering (should that happen) that I fear...I just don't want to be a burden to my family.

  • I'm not afraid of death itself, or what may come after... I am afraid of all of the painful ways by which there are to die, though...

  • I'm not afraid of dying, but I am afraid that my older 3 kids would be in a difficult situation since I doubt the courts would grant my husband any type of custody and they would go to their (deadbeat) dad instead.
