Feel alone. got my meditior report on divorce and does not look good for me. just need some cheer this way.

got meditior report on divoce and guess judge will listen 75 percent of the time on her letter. He came out like a saint while she ripped me apart. Husband told all kinds of things and she belived him. Took his side. My lawyer stinks as well and might need a new one since he does not believe about income and has the bank statements in front of him. right now the letter says can not move more than 30 mins from their school or him, if I want to move to be with family in another state I lose full custody, only 25 dollars for child support and have been married 11 years and three girls. He brings home one thousand dollars a week. I just feel so crushed by the meditior, lawyer, husband and i mean my own sister has not wrote me. How to go and get help I mean I have been a stay at home mom since the girls were born. I just feel like the world is up top of me and even with this divorce still pulling all the strings.

  • First, how on earth did they come up with $25 for child support?

Second, I suggest you find a new lawyer if all that you have written is accurate. Mediators don't typically just take someone's word for something; there usually has to be some sort of acceptable documentation.

  • Hang in there. Maybe a new lawyer would be a good idea. Keep fighting the good fight.

  • I mean this meditior only saw the girls for 15 mins. He says he does not bring home that much money and only 500.00 dollars and basing it on that.

  • Is the mediator a certified GAL?

And that child support still seems wonky. My granddaughters day has to pay $324/month and he makes less than minimum wage because he's working on his PhD

  • Ask for another mediator. You can usually get a second opinion or hire someone to do a report for you as well. Is the $25 because you would move to another state and he would have to pay for transportation to visit the kids?

  • You need a new attorney. But, as you know, I'm stuck in the same or an adjacent county as my ex until my youngest graduates HS. I am here with no family either, which seriously sucks! So, honestly, that may be a lost cause. BUT, you should be entitled to more child support, that's ridiculous. It get 30% of my ex's income (2 children).

Stay at home moms have lots of skills that employers value! Skills such as time management, logistics, finance, management, etc. Additionally, you probably have done some great volunteer work and may have had part time or even consulting positions while you were home.

Start with a great resume; update (or create) a Linkedin profile; let everyone you know that you are looking for a new position. How are your skills? You may want to take a couple of classes at a community college, like Microsoft office (at least Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and a basic bookkeeping class.
