How much formula should a 11.5 month old be drinking?

I am worried my daughter isnt getting enough to drink she only drinks 4 oz at a time and most of the time only 4 to 5 bottles a day? Is this enough? also she has not been sleeping at all daring the day is this normal?

  • Talk to the doctor. I think it's around 20-24 ounces a day, but I could be wrong.

  • You might want to increase the amount offered at each feeding and see if she wants it, but if she refuses it and is generally happy she is doing fine. Does she show signs of being tired throughout the day? I would watch carefully for those and put her down for a nap then. My kids went to one nap a day after lunch around 12 months. Get your doctor's opinion about all of this too.

  • Doesn't sound like a lot, and she should probably be closer to milk now, rather than formula? But then again, if she's also drinking water throughout the day then it's probably okay. 4oz at a time is I believe what my son was taking around 3 months!
