Driving to work

What's the farthest you drive to work? And if you use to commute to work far and wide how long did that last? I got myself a job but will have to drive about an hour each way,I'm not too thrilled about it but at the same time I feel like this job could help me earn a lot of money and even get promoted eventually.

  • 35 min is the longest my commute has ever been, though that could stretch to 45 depending on traffic. Right now it is about 12 min.

  • The furthest I've ever had to drive was about 75 miles one way. I did that for 3 years and it was enough lol

  • My DH works 25 miles away, mostly on the highway. It takes him about 25 minutes in the morning because he leaves at 4:40 am. On the way home it can take anywhere from 1/2 hour to 3 hours, depending on the weather and traffic. He says he doesn't mind the ride to work but driving home makes him annoyed - too many people on the road.

  • I drive a little over an hour each way. I like it; on the way in I listen to the news so I'm prepped for work (I work in news) and on the way home I decompress. Today was a tough day at work and if I didn't have that hour o decompress, I'd need to go somewhere other than home for a while to get all the steam out!

I used to work 15 minutes from home. Not really a great thing if I'd had a bad day.
