Could this be labor?

So I am 37 weeks now and just started having extreme lower back pain. I do have some pain in my lower abdomen but its not real strong its more uncomfortable. I am wondering if these are signs that I am going into labor. This is my first child so I am unsure of the signs especially since the abdominal pain is only slight. I am also a little concerned because I just had an ultrasound done and my baby is in breech. I haven't seen my doctor yet but have an appointment on Thursday. Please can someone help me out?

  • It could be try laying on your left side and drink some water. Try to time the pain. The pain may not go away, but it will increase in intensity. If the pain doesn't lessen or go away in an hour I would call your doctor and see what they think and if they want you to go in.

  • It could possibly be back labor. I didn't have that so, I'm not sure what it really feels like. If it gets worse you need to call your doctor. I naturally went into labor at 37 weeks with both of my girls so, don't let anyone tell you it's too soon.

  • Sounds like it could be....it wouldn't be a bad idea to go into L&D and make sure everything is ok...think I was there about 6 times before I actually had My daughter
